Our service is designed to remove the stress from smaller moves, ensuring your possessions are handled with the same care as our larger house removals.

Is your man and van service just for local moves within Carlisle?
While we are based in Carlisle, we frequently handle moves to Penrith, Annan, Dumfries, and Lockerbie. We also provide long-distance transport if you are moving from Cumbria or South West Scotland to other parts of the UK.
What size van do you use for small house removals?
We typically use 3.5-tonne Luton vans equipped with tail lifts. These are ideal for small house removals and flat moves because they offer plenty of space while still being able to navigate narrow residential streets and rural lanes where larger HGVs would struggle.
Do you provide packing materials for single item transport?
We always carry professional-grade furniture blankets and transit straps as standard. If you need boxes or bubble wrap for a smaller move, let us know in advance and we can supply the materials you need.
Can you help with furniture dismantling and reassembly?
Yes. If a bed or wardrobe is too large to fit through a doorway or down a narrow Victorian staircase, our crew can dismantle it and rebuild it at your new location. This is a popular option for furniture removals in Penrith and Carlisle where older properties often have restricted access.
What happens if my new property isn't ready on moving day?
If there is a delay with your completion or entry date, we can move your belongings into our secure, dry storage units in Carlisle. We provide flexible terms, so your goods stay safe until you have the keys to your new home.
Professional Handling for Small Removals and Single Items
Our service is ideal for small house removals, student moves across Carlisle, and the transport of single furniture items purchased via online marketplaces. Unlike a self-drive van, our approach includes a trained driver-loader who assists with the physical aspects of the move. We utilise protective furniture blankets, heavy-duty lashing straps, and floor runners as standard, ensuring your items are fully secured for transit. From sofas and white goods to boxed personal effects, we take responsibility for your goods from the moment they are loaded until they are safely placed in your new property. For larger requirements, we also offer a full packing service to assist with your preparations.

Navigating Carlisle Streets and Border Routes
Local knowledge is essential when operating in Carlisle. Our crew is well-versed in the logistical challenges posed by the city's historic red sandstone architecture, including narrow back lanes in Currock and the tight turning circles found in many modern estates like Morton. We are experienced in adhering to Cumberland Council parking regulations, including the management of disc zones and loading restrictions that can catch out inexperienced drivers. Our Luton vans are specifically selected for their agility, allowing us to access properties that might otherwise be difficult for larger vehicles. When you need furniture removals in Penrith or a cross-border trip to Annan, we use the M6 and A74(M) corridor to ensure a scheduled arrival.
